Fume Hood Performance Audits
A fume hood performance audit is a series of tests conducted to determine the containment characteristics of the fume hoods in an “as used” condition. These tests are designed to measure the capability of the fume hood to contain the vapors in an “as used condition”.
Fume Hood Test:
Once we have verified that the fume hood and Phoenix control systems are in proper working condition, Belnor will proceed with the following ANSI ASHRAE 110-1995 fume hood test operation procedures:
- Test 6.1.1 – Flow Visualization ( Smoke pencil testing )
- 6.2 – Face Velocity Measurements using Shortridge Instruments Inc. Airdata Multimeter
DOCUMENTATION:
Belnor will provide a complete report detailing the procedures used for testing, conditions of each fume hood, recommendations as well as results of the local flow visualization and face velocity measurements. |
